London confirms 'milestones' plan
It includes target dates for the sale of tickets, the recruiting volunteers and attracting key sponsorship deals.
London 2012 deputy chairman Sir Keith Mills said the aim is for sponsors to foot the bulk of the London Organising Committee's projected £2bn expenditure.
"The successful delivery of the Games and the Paralympics relies on getting sponsors on board," he said.
Under the schedule, the London 2012 Volunteers Programme launch will be in 2010, providing opportunities for up to 70,000 people to help stage the Games.
The key milestones in the London 2012 schedule unveiled by Mills are:

Mills told delegates at the Olympic Business Conference in London: "Of the £2bn, around 35% will be raised from commercial sponsorship here in the UK.
"The remainder will come from LOCOG's share of the IOC broadcasting and sponsorship revenues, and from merchandising, ticket sales and other commercial activities."
He added: "Sponsors will not only help us put on the most spectacular Games ever, but they will also help us deliver a real sports legacy in the UK that will be enjoyed for many years after 2012."
